Terms
The rules, in plain words
Fewer than a textbook has. Here is what you agree to when you use the app.
Last updated November 8, 2026
- Use it to learnOne account per person, yours to delete any time.
- Your words stay yoursWhat you add and write belongs to you.
- Be decentIn the packs you share with other learners.
- Apple takes the moneyPayments, renewals and refunds go through Apple.
Who these are with
These terms are between you and Alona Sheiko, who makes Word, please under the name yavno. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies too. Where the two disagree, these terms win, as far as Apple's rules allow.
Your account
- You need an account so your words survive a new phone. Keep access to its email or Apple ID.
- One account per person. Don't share it, sell it, or sign in as someone else.
- You can delete it any time: Profile → Account → Delete account.
Free and Local
- Free has no end date. What it includes can change, but the words you've added stay yours.
- Local is a subscription, billed by Apple. It renews by itself until you cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- The yearly plan starts with 7 free days, once per Apple ID. If you don't cancel during them, the first year is charged when they end.
- If the price changes, Apple tells you before your next renewal, and you can cancel.
- Refunds are Apple's: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your words
- What you add and write is yours. We only use it to run the app for you.
- When you share a pack, other learners can take a copy and use it. Their copy stays theirs, even if you change or hide yours later.
- Don't share packs that are hateful, sexual, about real people without their consent, or not yours to share.
- We can hide a shared pack that breaks this, and close accounts that keep doing it.
Our side
- The packs, the app's design and the mascot are ours. Use the app; don't copy it into another product.
- Cards for words you add are made by AI and can be wrong. Situation packs are checked by native speakers, but no pack covers every turn a talk can take. Use your judgement, especially at the doctor.
- We work hard to keep the app running and your words safe, but can't promise it will never break. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses.
- We may change the app and these terms. If a change matters, the app tells you first.
The law
These terms follow the law of Ukraine, without taking away any rights the law where you live gives you.
